After Kicking off the celebrations with the iconic TN, we continue to commemorate Nike’s 50th Anniversary with women in Football. Over the last decades, considerable progress in women’s participation in Football and great strides have been made. However, it’s undeniable that there is still room for improvement and much more to do. At Foot Locker, we aim to inspire the next 50 years of Women in Football by empowering them to express their joyful brilliance.
Therefore, Nike invited Sophie Hird, a Football enthusiast and fashion designer who re-uses fabrics to create inspiring sportswear. She’s sharing with us her story, her relationship with Football, and how it inspired her designs. Watch her video with Sandra, our Striper from Leeds, UK.
Besides, Sandra is also a football player. She started playing in a tiny town in Portugal and her passion expanded to England, where she evolved in clubs such as Hackney Laces, Tottenham, Crystal Palace Sheffield United, and Leeds United Women where she plays for the main team.
