How do you celebrate your femininity?
This International Women’s Day, we are unsubscribing from any confined definitions of womanhood, and instead celebrating its many individual and glorious expressions, without restriction or judgment. We want to celebrate the fullness of femininity – unyielded, free, and self-defined.
To portray this multifaceted idea of womanhood, we invited two talents and two Stripers to join us in London for a photo shoot that celebrates femininity in every form and shape possible. Here we go!
Meet Henrie Kwushue (@henrieviii): a 27-year-old creative whose ability to unflinchingly be herself has propelled her to be an ambassador for London’s youth culture. Her big break came with the release of her YouTube series, Is Your Area Changing?. Fast forward to 2023, and it’s safe to say that there’s no stopping or boxing in Henrie. From how she engages with her many hustles across music, sport, fashion, and even comedy, to the way she dresses, Henrie breaks from any restrictive ideals of womanhood. Instead, she embraces an authentic and self-defined vision of a modern young Black woman - original, playful, creative, and powerful. Henrie is wearing an adidas jacket and pants with retro vibes and cool detailing, a Cozi sports bra, and adidas Forum Mid sneakers.
Next up is Bel Priestley (@belpriestley): vlogger, Tik Toker & now a cast member of Netflix’s Heartstopper, she is a shining example of femininity in all its forms. Her ability to unpack her identity as a woman in today's world is unmatched, and she does so with such joy that it becomes almost impossible not to revisit and celebrate our femininity with her. It was this ability that built her a core fanbase who adores her for helping others in their journey to find themselves. Bel is wearing a fierce bright blue sports bra and leggings ensemble by PUMA, and the new PUMA Mayze in white.
We then asked two of our Stripers, Jums (@heyitsjb_) and Ife (@ifx.xi) from our Foot Locker London Stratford store, to join the shoot and add their own personal feminine touch to the event. Jums looks amazing in a Nike Air outfit with pants, sports bra, and a sweater, with bright Nike Air Max 90 sneakers. Ife is wearing a Cozi outfit, with matching sports bra and leggings, and trendy Converse All Star Lift Hi.
